        Moving lips. Pucker, quiver, bite, the jaw side to side 

        Eyes. Rolling, dilates  

        Crossing legs, a little hip dance, shifty, 

stains, cute butts, bulges, and pockets

        Airy yet thick headed. Slightly transparent 

Some of their gestures, these teachers, when they come together to unload their subject matter.

For two days, the Emily Harvey Foundation was the site of Timmy Simonds' Miss Othmar School for Teachers. Installed in the space are a selection of tools that Simonds uses in this ongoing project, and other artworks that exist in the universe of this fictional school. The school is partly in the realm of the imaginary, with "faculty meetings" between pedagogues of different historical contexts, and partly in the real, materializing as different programs for teachers and facilitators.
